There are so many great Shrek-themed toys that the birthday boy or girl would love! If they have a Wii system, you could give them one of the Shrek Wii games—the Carnival Craze for Wii game gets great reviews. If there’s a Shrek movie the don’t already own, you could add to their DVD collection. There’s a Shrek version of the popular Monopoly game, too.
Shrek and Princess Fiona poseable and soft dolls are getting harder to find, but if they’re not available at your local toy store, you can look for them on websites such as Amazon and eBay.

Presents For Girls
If the birthday present recipient is a girl, you could look for a medieval-style dress like Princess Fiona’s. If you know how to use a sewing machine, you may be able to make one yourself. Green “ogress” cosmetics and grooming novelties are also a nice idea: green hair accessories, mirror compacts, nail polish and stick-on gems. You might find green glow-in-the-dark nail polish at the dollar store, or order it online at Amazon.com.
If the birthday girl likes Princess Fiona, she is probably a fan of strong heroines, and she might like books about other strong female characters. How about The Paper Bag Princess, an enduring classic by Robert Munsch, or one of the Olivia books by Ian Falconer? They’re both perfect for girls aged four to eight.

Boys who love Shrek usually have a good sense of humor. How about a selection of joke shop novelties and a big book of jokes? Or go for the gross angle, and give them an ant farm kit or a praying mantis kit, or the Totally Gross Board Game.
